Finding Home Care takes pride in its detailed and rigorous Qualified Caregiver Screening Process, which ensures we select only the most Warm Experienced Compassionate Accountable Reliable Enthusiastic (“WE CARE”) Qualified Caregivers to provide care for your loved one.
Our industry-leading Qualified Caregiver Screening Process includes the following 25 checkpoints:
EXPERIENCE/REFERENCE CHECKS:
- 1+ year of professional work experience as a caregiver and/or certified as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)/Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Professional caregiving reference check #1
- Professional caregiving reference check #2
DOCUMENTATION VERIFICATION/MEDICAL CLEARANCE:
- Home Care Aide (HCA) Registry verification
- Driver’s license or state ID card
- Social security verification
- Physical exam with medical clearance
- Tuberculos is (TB) rest or chest x-ray
- CPR certification
BACKGROUND CHECKS:
- State (Department of Justice) and Federal (FBI) Live Scan
fingerprinting and criminal history record checks - Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) record check
- Nationwide sex offender check (Dru Sjodin public registry)
- Excluded parties list system check for federal government exclusions
- Inspector general fraud and exclusion check
INTERVIEWS:
- Phone interview (to assess qualifications, experience & attitude)
- Multiple in-person interviews (to select only the high-quality caregivers with the values & qualifications that meet the 123 Home Care Qualified Caregiver standard)
