Lindsay’s path into senior care wasn’t accidental. It began over 28 years ago, when her mother was diagnosed with cancer at age 52. What followed was a personal crash-course in everything broken about how families find care: agencies that wouldn’t return calls, caregivers who didn’t show up, rates that doubled overnight.
Lindsay spent the next decade as a hands-on private caregiver in San Diego — helping clients with everything from post-stroke recovery to Parkinson’s, dementia, hospice care, and Alzheimer’s. She earned the trust of dozens of families one home at a time.
Two things became impossible to ignore: families were paying $35-$45+ per hour — sometimes $10,000+ every month — while the caregivers in those homes earned a fraction of that. And the genuinely great caregivers often had no way to connect directly with the families who needed them.
Finding Homecare LLC was Lindsay’s answer: a concierge referral model that cuts out the agency markup. Families pay a one-time placement fee, hire the caregiver directly, and Lindsay personally handles the vetting, matching, and ongoing support.
